We believe in responsible fishing practices

The preferred choice for us is MSC (wild caught) or ASC (farmed) certified seafood products. Preferred, because we recognize the importance of safeguarding natural resources for future generations, while acknowledging that the long term success of our business depends on responsible fishing practices.

 

Therefore we work actively to promote responsible fishing by continuously supporting our suppliers’ certification efforts.

Traceability is key to responsible sourcing of fish & seafood

Product traceability is a critical tool to ensure food safety and accurate labeling, and to prevent Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing. 

 

Detailed procedures, which include unique batch systems for all items, coupled with effective IT-systems, enable us to track all our products through our supply chain.

Anti-corruption and human rights

Respect for human rights is fundamental to how we conduct our business. Our Human Rights Policy sets out our commitment to respecting internationally recognised human rights principles and frameworks across our operations and business relationships.

 

In Kangamiut, we maintain a zero-tolerance approach to corruption, bribery, fraud and money laundering. Our Anti-Corruption & Ethics Policy sets out the standards and principles that guide our business conduct and applies across our operations and business relationships. Any breach of these principles may lead to disciplinary action, including employment termination and potential legal prosecution.

 

We seek to work with suppliers and business partners who share our commitment to responsible business practices and respect for human rights.

  

Any violation of human rights or suspected incidences of corruption related to our operations should be reported via our Whistleblower system.
