Celebrating our 50th anniversary with family and friends

On September 6th we had a local celebration of our 50th anniversary, inviting colleagues, families and friends to celebrate half a century of excellence in seafood.

As we were aiming to have the Kangamiut spirit shine throughout the day, all the planning and preparations for the party were handled by Kirsten, Søren and Anne (owners and children of our late founder, Niels Vinther Rasmussen), Annette and Caroline (see picture in the photo flow below), as well as a handful of our creative employees.

A "Fish Festival" in an informal and festive setting

The theme of the party was "Fish Festival" with an afternoon of fun for families in the garden of our Kangamiut Green Land forest lodge, followed by a festive evening featuring three very different but each of the awesome bands in a very informal setting.

Magical music for our fish monger ears

In Kangamiut there is nothing we like better than a good party - and what better way to set the scene than inviting three awesome bands?

Our favorite swing band "Urban Crooners" opened the outdoor scene in the garden where everyone could enjoy the last rays of sunshine (see banner picture above).

Locally founded and new-and-upcoming "TELUS" took the stage in the party tent with their cool postpunk alternative rock style music.

Finally, the dance floor was ignited by fabulous party starters "Electric Avenue" featuring our friend and insurance partner through more than 30 years, John Vinther, on the drums.

An unforgettable Kangamiut atmosphere

Thanks to all our fabulous guests and especially our incredibly festive colleagues, our 50 years of excellence in seafood were celebrated in what we like to call the Kangamiut spirit: laughing and dancing, and everything completely down to Earth.

As one of our guests expressed: it was the kind of party you just didn't want to leave.
