Progress as per 27 June

Progress report 27 June:

The first of the two wall paintings is almost finished and Richard is taking a well deserved break over the weekend.

Richard will be back on Monday 30 June and spending another week in the forest lodge, this time working on the second wall painting which will feature an ocean-full-of-Kangamiut-products theme!

Stay tuned for more updates...

Inspired by the forest lodge surroundings, particularly this picture from the garden, Richard is transforming the first of the small bedrooms on the first floor of the main building by bringing the forest into the room.

The work started slowly this weekend and we are following the progress with excitement and high expectations for the end result.

The second bedroom will be inspired by the source of our core business, namely the ocean and it's precious gold: Fish & shellfish.

While this work has not really started yet, there has already been a need for biological advice, as a cod was beginning to show signs of species fluidity and identified itself as pelagic. The biologist (yours truly) has rectified the situation and made sure the cod now understands that it is indeed a groundfish.

Whether the biological order of things is still intact upon the finalization of this art work remains to be seen.
